Saturday night Scott woke up several times, but I didn't really suspect anything other than an 'off' night. When he finally woke up for the day, we noticed he was warm and yup, had a temp.. We treated him during the day with some Tylenol, which seemed to help. We let him get lots of rest and we waited it out.... The fever ended by Monday, making me believe it was a teething episode and not to worry... well, he did cough a few times on late Monday night and had a rough night on Monday night finally getting rest. Tuesday, after waking up with a runny nose and being very crabby, I called dr. and she saw us. Because of the Swine Flu, and I mentioned the fever, they tested him... all clear! no ear infection and he is lungs sounded good, but he does have a viral bug. We believe he is already on the tail end of it and we are just giving him small doses of motrin. We had a small rough start getting to bed last night, but he settled down and rested all night. He has a small runny nose today, and is taking his morning nap right now.. We have been very lucky that this is our first sicky episode and overall, it's been a easy one.
On a lighter side... he is getting to be such a big boy and picking up on more and more 'big boy' things. on Monday, he basically refused to sit in the high chair and insisted on sitting at the table in a regular chair... We we made a trip to Target to pick up a booster seat. He will sit in it, and when he's hungry, he goes to that seat, but overall, he still just likes to sit at the table throughout the day in a regular table chair.. He is being the same way at my 'desk'. he likes to sit there and move the mouse around. Today I went and got my old laptop fearing that it's just a matter of time before something gets broke and i'd rather it be my old 'last leg' laptop.
Scott LOVES to be outside, but of course, the weather is chilly again. He loves to just walk around and climb up and down the front porch steps. Last week when it was beautiful for a several days, we went out everyday.... then the rain came and he was the saddest boy ever... He was breaking my heart... he would bring me his shoes (because he knows that it means we are going somewhere).. when that didn't work, he would bring me MY shoes... :(..... Can't wait for the weather to pick up and stay!
