Halloween Recap

Well, Scott had a GREAT Halloween this year... Scott and I made some pumpkin cupcakes from our Martha Stewart book.. big hit! Check out my pictures. Friday night we put on our costume and met Daddy at the train station to hand out the cupcakes to our friends. Everyone loves Scott's costume this year, even Scott. I think really, that he just thought of it as a hat, coat, and shoes that he knows he has to wear when he is outside, but it was definitely a great costume for this year and the chilly temps. But we were very lucky not to have winds or rain!! It turned out to be a great weekend.

We started the day with a nice brunch out (which is good because that was about the most of a "meal" he had the whole day). Then off to the store to run a few errands and a few special Trick Or Treating to show off our little biker and hand out more cupcakes.. Then Ryan and I carved our pumpkins while Scott took his nap.. by the time we were done and Scott was up, it was time for the trick or treaters to start... Scott wasn't sure what all these people were doing at first, but he loved the company and seeing the kids.. by the end of the trick or treating hours, he would run to the door every time the bell would ring. We couldn't get him to hand out the candy to the kids, but he said "bye" to everyone...

After the hours ended, we had 2 parties to attend!!! Both were in our subdivision. One Jeanne had for some of the young kids, there was a big sugar high going on!!!! Scott was running and screaming all over the place. He was given a really cute special treat bag just for him with toys and coloring books! (Even Trin got a treat bag). Scott had a cupcake at the party (see pictures) and then we knew the crash was going to happen soon, so we needed to make an appearance at the other party. Our next door neighbors finished their basement and made it into a bar with a pooltable. You can see in the pictures that Scott is about to fall asleep in my arms... So, we couldn't stay long.. Scott finally got to bed around 9:30 and thank goodness for the extra hour of sleep... all 3 of us needed. I was ready to crash at 9:35, but managed to watch a few ghost shows before my eyelids gave in.

Oh... and to top it off.. I introduced Scott to the "Great Pumpkin" earlier in the week... well, it has taken Elmo's spot as his number one choice to watch on TV.. Usually in the mornings, I let him watch TV while I work on waking up and get our breakfasts started and now if I ask, "Do you want to watch ELMO or Great Pumpkin??" he replies with "umpkin"... Sometimes, when Charlie Brown gets a rock in the show, he says "oh no"... and always.. at the very end when Linus is yelling at Charlie Brown about how next year the Great Pumpkin will rise and he will be there, Linus points his finger up it the sky.. Scott always points his finger and yells too... super cute. Hopefully he will move on to Charlie Brown Christmas soon.

Today we worked on getting back into a schedule. Scott slept in a little and then still managed to take a good 3 hour nap in the afternoon... I think all of us need one more good night rest to start the week...

Hope everyone had a great Halloween!!
